There are a few clunky bits, especially with payroll and how it calculates wages, plus some reports/analysis we used to have in EH we don't have in Xero. Moderately confusing is the ability to refer a friend for commission rewards. I opted in to this, yet it isn't a fixed to my Xero account, thus I had to create two separate accounts. It makes reconciling easy and makes for beautifully professional invoices. It does separate from the bank feed regularly, and no one seems to know how to fix this. Sometimes when I want to edit something from the past, it can be a little annoying. Also, payments against expenses could be smoother as a process. I wish that Xero had more beautiful charts. I love a Sankey diagram, and it would be nice to see the cash flow in and cash flow out in an elegant chart. While it's pretty easy to label expenses or transactions as a billable expense, it takes several extra clicks that I wish it didn't require. I guess group companies could be an area for improvement. At the moment if you manage say have businesses within a group, it would be great to be able to link group companies, helping record the transfer of cash and live managing of balances. What I like most about Xero is that it's not Intuit. QBO is junk. Xero has its quirks, but overall it's very easy to get stuff done once you take the time to understand how Xero does things versus QBO.
