Having tried unsuccessfully to secure SOC2 for 6 months working in partnership with a specialist local Canadian company, we had moved at a snails pace. We elected to walk away and instead signed up with Vanta whose platform was both intuitive and user friendly. Through their automation, within a matter of weeks we had far exceeded the progress made working with an alternative vendor who didn't have a platform. I loved that you could physically see progress being made and documents stored. It allows you to view the pairing of controls with policies or actions and know what gaps are still to plug at any point in time. More importantly still the system alerts you to any issues allowing you to remediate them. Vanta has also become my default storage despository for HR documents and it now logs every important record required for SOC 2 accreditation and has become a great mini HR tool.
