It is probably the most seamless tool I have used to date and from my personal experience in gathering as much information as possible. It picks up on almost every if not all LAN capable devices, servers, switches, desktops, laptops, mac and linux, it's very useful. You have to tweak it to get it as perfect as you like it but the premise of Lansweeper and how it works is pretty convenient. It's a lot easier if you have a domain [controller] though, because if you don't you have to scan each machine manually unless the admin credentials for each computer are the same. You can automate it with times and you can scan separate IP ranges which is also great, that way you can isolate specific devices you don't want to show up. It's also great the amount of detail it actually pulls, things like user login activity and recently installed software are very useful and can help find out the last few things that happened before something bad happened. You can also execute remote commands such as shutting down and RDP and many more, all from 1 console. Scanning is very simple and easy to learn but takes time to learn the ins and outs of this system. There are a lot more things I like but that's just a few little things I have picked out, there is a lot more to do with this.
