We used Simcad Pro on multiple lines to validate the proposed design and correct the automation sequencing and timing on high-speed welding lines. We also use it to visualize and explain the automation lines to our clients, both in 2D and 3D space. The best part is that we can run quick scenarios on the line with our client present and show the impact of different speeds and buffer sizes while the simulation was running. We also use Simcad Pro to generate the PLC control logic required, identify optimum buffer sizes, and analyze the effect of downtime/OEE on the line. Support is top-notch, and we continue to use Simcad Pro for new implementations.
