Blender is free and open-source! This software has a reputation and has been around for along while. There is a multitude of documentation available online. The models and things that people have created are amazing.

Once you get over the intuitiveness, the program is very strong for its' price.

|Blender
+The Blender suite is free. It's open source, and there is a fair bit of support online for it. +Cross platform. Blender runs on Mac OSX, Windows, and Linux. +Surprisingly feature packed suite. Once you really get to know the suite, you'll be surprised at how many tools Blender has.
