I like the fact that Turnitin software checks for potentially unoriginal content by comparing submitted papers to several databases , It scans its own databases, and also has licensing agreements with large academic proprietary databases. so the finished product is original to the core.

I use this product to collect all written assignments, primarily to check plagiarism at the beginning. However, I also grade every single piece of student writing on Turnitin.com. You are able to use a palette of frequent comments so that grading is quicker, and you can also cut down on paper. I have also used the PeerMark feature, which autodistributes student work around the class and allows students to complete a peer review. You can come up with the questions you want students to answer in their peer review. More recently, I have been toying with the rubrics feature on Turnitin. When you upload a rubric or create one in the program, you can then click the boxes in the rubric and Turnitin will autocalculate the student's score. That’s the features I like the best. It has a nice simple interface for both students and teachers. It is really easy for uploading assignments and papers for the students for whom English may not be the first language also. on the teacher side, it has a clean and clear dashboard that clearly lists all submitted assignments and their score. I can't think of anything that I like best about this program because of the comparison to better programs. I work at an online public school that relies on our plagiarism checker programs to ensure that the work our students turn in is legit.
