After I restart my Chromebook, it works and then freezes again, but the Chromebook keeps working if I use the touchscreen. I am using a Samsung Chromebook 2. How do I stop this from happening occasionally?

Can Chromium OS provides updates to a Chromebook device that has passed its AUE date?

I understand that Chrome OS doesnt sustain updates for older Chromebook models that has passed its AUE date. What about Chromium OS? If I install Chromium OS in my older Chromebook, will I get frequent updates from the Chromium community support? Plus, do Chromium OS support android apps?
