Three significant upsides, the first is ease of use. Brightflag is so intuitive and easy to use, it has turned processing legal spend from something to dread to something enjoyable. The second is the incredible data we can derive from the tool. This data helped turned our legal spending into a source of valuable information that we can use to manage ourselves and our vendors. The third is how thrilled our law firms are with using Brightflag, which has helped us move legal ebilling from a source of constant escalation, to smoothly operating and useful process. Brightflag is really easy to use, both for the frequent user and for the user that only now and then has to use the tool. Reviewing, approving and reporting is very easy. Reporting is also very 'management friendly', both with ready made overviews and with a tool to build reports yourself. This tool is really intuitive as we almost never had to 'read the manual'. The initial implementation takes lots of time, not because of the tool itself, but because one has to clarify the legal spend process first. All sorts of exceptions come to light in the invoice- and payment process and need to be taken care off before it can be implemented in Brightflag. So this is not so much a Brightflag issue as well as an internal process issue. However I guess that this will be a problem within every somewhat larger organisation. It's clear that the BF product team works hard to make every single client happy, but I'm concerned there may be too many cooks in the kitchen and this end product will start to deviate from the minimalist platform I was looking for to process my invoices, control my budget, and prepare quick reports.
