I'd love to know how to maximize productivity in Illustrator.

I heard a few different ways of setting up a file for print. I curious to how most people in this community do it.

I need to create a 3D design to make a mockup of my client's product

Does it take years to become an expert in this illustrator software?

Currently, I use a clipping mask, but it's now effective as Photoshop masks, so I was wondering whether there is a better way to do that.
