We implemented the tool to operationally steer a customer’s IT roadmap and their
strategic imperatives derived from target IT landscape and IT operating model. What we
like is that the tool is made to operationalize our IT strategy directly where we face the
business needs. We standardize our non-functional requirements (EA, IT security, …) to
be automatically applied with every software demand. Additionally, the tool fosters to
first check the IT portfolio before proposing something new from the market. This
reduced new purchases on average by 18% per year.
We use Softwaregini for innovation scouting and finding the newest trends in our
relevant categories. I like that the platform provides access and insights to +50000
solutions available on the market. Here, I don’t have to give away my contact
information when gathering information which makes it very convenient for me.

The tool is interdisciplinary and inteagres our IT governance, Enterprise Architecture and procurement department seamlessly in one process for software selection. Especially, we like that we able to integrate the tools of those teams so that we leverage our data assets and reduce manual transitions between the teams. One oft he most important features is that we automate the reuse of our existing IT portfolio. This saves us from buying redundant software and leverages synergy effects.
