As a Salesforce consultancy, document generation and e-Signature are common requirements for many of our clients, and we have implemented several different solutions. Where we are able to influence this decision, our go-to recommendation is S-Docs for the following reasons. • It is completely on-platform, i.e. the customer's data never leaves Salesforce, and there is no integration to an external server. This means that the integration failures and performance issues we see with some other solutions simply don't exist. • The licencing model is a bit simpler and more flexible than some other providers; essentially they are willing to price based on annual volume of documents whereas other solutions are based on a split between named users and a daily volume for automated generations • The template builder is much easier to use than some other providers (it's all within Salesforce, not in Microsoft Word) – making it more likely the business can maintain their own templates going forwards. • Crucially – it supports custom CSS / HTML in the email template builder, allowing us to design much richer branded email templates • S-Docs has an electronic signature solution (S-Sign), which works seamlessly with S-Docs.
