I really like that I can tell the status of the user with whom I'm chatting, as well as when they are responding. In addition, the history is very useful to look back at chats for information I need to review. Probably one of the biggest "likes" is that fact that Trillian lets you use different usernames from different services so that I don't need to use different IM tools to communicate with others.
