My experience with Acterys has been nothing short of exceptional. As the VP Analytics at a large distributor, I selected Acterys as a solution for specific use cases back in 2019, and it has continued to exceed my expectations. Acterys is a game-changing business intelligence tool that simplifies data modeling and introduces the powerful feature of Power BI write-back. The user-friendly interface of Acterys made building data models effortless, even for someone like me without extensive technical knowledge. The Power BI write-back functionality opened up a world of possibilities, enabling real-time collaboration and data interaction directly within Power BI reports and dashboards. We utilized this feature for labor and transportation resource planning across 350 distribution centers in the US, with almost 500 daily users. The solution seamlessly integrated data entry and analysis for improved efficiency. What truly impressed me about Acterys was its versatility across various business cases. From financial planning and forecasting to sales performance management and inventory optimization, Acterys provided comprehensive solutions. We were able to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy, and gain deeper insights for more informed decision-making. Throughout our experience, Acterys delivered exceptional customer support. The team was responsive, knowledgeable, and committed to ensuring a seamless experience. Acterys is very simple and yet very complex at the same time. It’s intuitive and can be set up with some clear logic and a vision for the output. It has huge potential as I can see how it holds data and rules and then outputs can be built in Power BI to report the data in whatever form/format/visualisation that is required. Our financial information is in Xero and Acterys/Power BI is bringing us visibility of the information accurately and quickly in a way that we haven’t had before. We’re using a consultant to implement the solution who is doing a fantastic job of understanding our requirements and creating valuable outputs. It’s been a quick and efficient process. I’m not a systems accountant and yet I’m learning how to use Acterys and Power BI quickly and I feel confident that the finance team will be able to embed its use in our day to day tasks. Having seen what it can do and how straight forward the set up is, I intend to never do a financial consolidation in a spreadsheet ever again.
