Pros y Contras de SmartDollar

The access to the Every Dollar Budget, the free tax filing, and the ability to set up power of attorney and a will. As the "administrator" for Master Wall, I really enjoy being able to look at the points that each person has, and what kind of engagement they have with the service.

The only downside I see, would be the ability to have more employees engage with the service. You send out emails about drawings and incentives, and post bulletins about it. You see employees look at it and read over it, but they don't take the next step to sign up and see how good of a service it can be. There are several factors that contribute to this, I believe. We have been using Ramsey Solutions products, including FPU, for years. As business owners, we were excited to bring Smart Dollar to our employees. We are in the beginning stages of getting it out to our employees. However, what I like best about it so far is the easy and fun approach to being able to teach people about money as well as enhanced upgrades that our employees receive compared to it if they did this on their own. Right now, not much! Again, we are at the beginning stages of it, but from an employer perspective, the most difficult thing it's been for us is to get it off the ground and running.

I like that it compiles the data for me as far as how much our associates have paid off debt and how much they are saving. I also like that it shows who's actively using the program. It's easy to use the program and you can put as much or as little effort into it. From the start of learning about the program through to implementation, my contacts at SmartDollar were always there to support me and answer any questions that I've had. The EveryDollar budgeting app for sure! I love how easy it is to plan and track our spending. I love that I have access to FPU at any moment to refresh often. I love that all the financial tools and calculators are all easily accessible in one place. And lastly, I love that I can give my team access to this - something my husband and I have been strong believers in as long as we've been married...and something that has totally changed our trajectory in life! Of all the benefits that we offer to our employees, SmartDollar is the only one that can truly change a person's life! SmartDollar provides all of the tools a person needs to learn how to take control of their personal finances, in a fun and easy-to-understand program. There is no accountability in a self-paced program like this. So it's easy to let life get in the way if you aren't naturally self-motivated to complete the program. Having regular meetings with other individuals going through the program, like they do in Financial Peace University, could go a long way in providing moral support and encourgement to employees trying to implement the Baby Steps. I find SmartDollar helps me with budgeting, completing my taxes, and will soon help me and my husband create a last will and testament. I've found the articles helpful, especially as my family navigates our next stage of finances. I tend to find a lot of information about saving while being a young adult. Also as my company's benefits program manager, I find the content can be easily shared with our employee population and has helped people to navigate their own personal finances. Everything in one location. Easy to navigate. The EveryDollar budgeting app is a must! It's easy to get team members signed up for the program. Appreciate how quickly the SmartDolar team responds to any issues within the program or app. The program has so many resources regarding all types of financial related questions and the 7 Baby Steps. Our team also loves the new added feautures including creating a will, connecting with a Ramsey financial coach, the taxes, etc. Our team also loves the accountability and eays to follow steps. So many of our team members have started their budget for the first time, managed to pay off debt, save up for big purchases and start saving for the future. We highly recommend this program! There's not really anything I dislike. I do think there are some things that could be added to the program to further push the importance of budgeting - for example, it would be good to be able to track who is actually taking advantage of the EveryDollar budgeting app and what exactly each team member is earning SmartDollar points for. Right now, it just shows SmartDollar points as a total. So, I am unsure where those points are coming from.

As the administrator, I would love to know who is using the budgeting app and a breakdown of points used (per category - budgeting, articles, videos, etc).

Although I am a very new user of Ramsey SmartDollar, already it is hard to choose what I like best about the program. In my role as an HR Business Partner, I am the 'owner' of the program for my company, but also a user. In the beginning, I worked closely with Dalton Stewart, Account Executive. He was very approachable and able to understand my workforce and the diverse needs and barriers that come up. Dalton was able to give recommendations and kept me informed so that I could fully understand the program and make the best choice for my company. Once I moved into the pre-launch phase, I began working with Neslon Fabrizius. He has been great to work with as well. My favorite thing about Nelson is his willingness to get creative and tweak existing materials so they better fit my needs. As a user of SmartDollar, I'm simply thrilled something like this exists that I am fortunate enough to take advantage of, at no personal cost to me. I have significant financial goals and so far each tool and feature is incredibly easy to use. While many things in life are hope-stealers, SmartDollar can be a hope-giver to those who want clear direction on how to be financially wise and build wealth. From an HR side, it is very easy to implement and integrate into what we do. It is very easy to push out group invitations using information from our HRIS. The tools are a complete package of financial benefits to help them manage all aspects and improve financially.
