The system is lacking in a lot of basic areas, and the "support" that you pay thousands for annually is virtually NONEXISTENT. We've been using Nextech for 4 years, and it has never improved. Upon first paying and setting up our system, it took 6 MONTHS for their team to figure out how to set up our electronic billing until we finally decided to give up on them and just submit ourselves because we weren't getting paid for those 6 months and couldn't wait any longer. For the entirety of our contract with Nextech, we've never gotten paid for DSHS until very recently, and that was only after several weeks of them blaming our clearing house for the problem, going back and forth with us, and pushing the case onto other representatives until they finally corrected the mistake THEY had made in setting it up in the first place.
We've completely given up on having a patient portal because they were never able to get it set up properly.
Perhaps the most appalling is that you pay tens of thousands of dollars to purchase and install this EMR system, but if you choose not to pay for a support contract with them, they will SHUT OFF THE ABILITY TO USE MODULES IN THE SYSTEM THAT YOU PAID TO HAVE. We have lost thousands of dollars because of their "service", and they keep you at their mercy by forcing you to pay annually to continue using your system in any way other than basic scheduling.
