probably the most would be the pricing of the devices and software. For us being a not for profit, they can be a bit pricy and that when you have multiple devices it aggregates the time, so if you buy one with 5 year license and a year later buy another with a 5 year license my understanding is that those end dates would start to blend. As a large Cisco shop we utilize controller based AP's for our main campus, but for smaller offices (typically less than 10 AP's we utilize Meraki. Meraki provides a an easy method of installing these offices, and simplified maintenance. The maintenance is scheduled off hours (you define the time) and does not require any intervention, you just receive an email stating that it occurred successfully. It is licensed by device so in addition to purchasing the devices you need to purchase a license for x amount of years so even though you purchased the hardware you have to continue to purchase licenses to use it. This is a fair trade off for using the portal but could get expensive. There is also some difficulty in making fine grained adjustments to radio power. The thing I dislike the most is the complex layout of the system, it makes navigating the software very difficult. Another thing I disliked was the color scheme of the software, it made everything very difficult to concentrate on.
