I am a superuser and have worked across platforms that are in competition with Captiv8, but I can affirm that Captiv8 has the best platform and has all of the features they claim. One part I like about Captiv8 is that its very easy to use and all of the features that need access to are readily available for us. The team is also the best in the industry by far. Price/value: The platform is expensive and overpriced, even for a $100m business.
Analytics and data: Very poor. Even basic data, like mapping affiliate commissions to orders, is disconnected. Specifically, payments were a complete nightmare. Every month, we paid thousands of dollars to affiliates and creators, but verifying order data was manual and required a lot of time and guesswork. The lack of visibility into performance led to significant delays and frustration in paying affiliates and creators.
Communication tools: Very poor and unusable. If you're communicating with more than a few affiliates/creators, you are better off relying on other third-party tools to facilitate. Many automated emails (like assigning voucher codes) contained errors in placeholders and spelling/grammar (no way to edit these yourself).
If your business runs an affiliate program, this is not the tool for you. You're better off using an established affiliate solution for a fraction of the cost. The solution overall felt like a startup that was still building basic features. Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
I really enjoy looking at IVI creator lists and being able to see which creators make the most sense for our campaign. We have to be careful about who we are partnering with and this really helps us look at all insights in a simple spot. Another thing I like about Captiv8 is that they don't just give you basic stats (reach, likes, and what not) they actually have access to true platform data which other platforms do not have (even if they say that do). The part that I dislike about Captiv8 is I would like to see more when it comes to fraud/bot data and if that would discount an influencer to be recommended for a campaign, almost like a flag to not use a creator would be really helpful because right now we put creators we do not want to work with on a list. I like that Captiv8 is a platform that has enabled my team and I to build marketing campaigns with creators and manage the full process. We previously had to use a separate system for sourcing and payments and now we can use Captiv8 to get all parts of our campaign off of the ground. I think there could be a good way to give more information when a team is onboarded so that they have a reference guide when navigating things as we're getting ramped up to launch. Although they have these DEI filters, they're not always 100% accurate in terms of a creator's ethnic background or sexual orientation.
