La depuración y el filtrado son buenas características en log4j. Es fácil encontrar problemas con Log4j. También ayuda cuando hay múltiples errores en el producto. Es fácil depurar usando log4j. Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.

I have used it in my previous organization for log management of our J2EE applications. The best part is to be able to manage log levels based on java package path. It's a very powerful way to decide and dynamically log at the level based on the environment and need of the hour. Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
In the earlier versions of log4j we had trouble being able to change the log levels dynamically at runtime without having to restart the server or the application. This was okay at lower environments. But, a big no for Production environment.
In my opinion, Apache log4j 2.0 is worth the upgrade- much better than the previous version. The plugin system has really helped me out. I have greatly enjoyed using this product. Performance is faster than ever! Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
The Async Appender isn't really for me- it's difficult and clunky to use and, in my opinion, isn't really worth it. I don't really want to add another logging framework to my daily tasks. Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
Great tool for Apache server logs. Gives more detailed logging capability. Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
There is a "native" implementation of the SLF4J API called Logback. Last year I was on a project in which we decided to switch from Log4J to Logback very late in the project, because Log4J locks logfiles and Logback does not (which means that on Windows, you can't delete a logfile while Log4J has it open; Logback doesn't have that problem). The thing I like best about log4j is how easy and simple it is to use. Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
Truthfully there is not anything I dislike, log4j is efficient and does what I need it to do. Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
I like best how it helps necessary to get feedback about activity as well performance of servers Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
I really dont dislike anything specifically. It depends on the Apache configuration that you have Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
I have used log4j for several years. It's a good library highly configurable. It was part of all my libraries and java programms development. Used in conjunction with SLF4j is the best solution in the market. Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
Unfortunately its development seems to be abandoned. Fortunately the same authors of log4j create a new library called logback, that it seems to be better than its predecessor. Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
Very easy to use. Used for logging purposes and to find out bugs in the software Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
Poor documentation and resources. Better explaination required Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
