According to the World Economic Forum (WEF) forecasts 92 million jobs will be lost due to AI, but 170 million will be gained (a net positive of 78 million jobs).
In fact, over 40% of employers are looking to reduce 'headcount' due to AI. In certain branches of industry, things are already looking perilous e.g. basic coding jobs are looking doomed as AI can already do them more cheaply, quicker, and to a better level (less or zero errors). Marc Zuckerberg recently stated that 'AI will replace entry-level developers by 2025'.
How does this make you feel? Have you researched whether your job is 'safe'?
