Complexity: Smartsheet has a fairly steep learning curve, especially for users who are not tech-savvy or unfamiliar with project management tools. Limited functionality: Some users might find that Smartsheet lacks certain advanced features compared to other project management tools, making it less suitable for complex project requirements. Price: While Smartsheet offers a free version with limited functionality, its paid plans can be expensive for small businesses or individuals on a tight budget. User interface: Though Smartsheet's interface has improved over time, some users still find it less intuitive and visually appealing compared to other project management tools.

It only allows predecessor not predecessors and successors like MSProject. Using predecessors can achieve the same outcome, but if you are use to thinking in successors it is a change.

The learning curse about Smartsheets is the tough part. Like all new things, takes time, trying and fixing mistakes.

I have used Smartsheet for years and not only has it helped finish construction projects on time it has saved me money, and even helped helped in getting me signed contracts. I often show my potential clients my projected start date and completion date with all the work and pricing. I ask them if my competitors have been willing to be this transparent and accountable and most often they tell me no, then they sign up with me. Smartsheet is also inexpensive and easy to learn and operate, has a lot of templates ready to use so you don’t have to start from scratch or be an Excel wizard

Smartsheet is very slow in delivering new features, which have been requested by hundreds of users probably. For example, Baseline which is a basic necessity of a project plan, was requested as early as around 2015, but it was not implemented until 2021.

One that doesn't provide a way to reduce the time spent on a project you are managing. Or doesn't streamline a process for you and/or your co-workers.

After using Smartsheet for over a year, I have found it to meet our needs with scheduling and managing New Product Development, Marketing and Research & Development. I would only say the more you learn about Smartsheet, the more ideas for functionality you can come up with, but you can easily submit functionality requests to Smartsheet and they add it to their list. some become available and others are add-ons that do cost a pretty hefty price. But overall for our size of organization (100-250 employees) it's been a great addition.

Smartsheet, as a whole, is not bad. Many in my organization use it successfully. For me personally, its main marketed feature (workflow/planning/collaborating) is of no use to me. And that's where Smartsheet's training focuses. Since my needs are simple, I tend to use Excel instead of Smartsheet whenever possible.

I don't think it's bad, once you get use to the system it's pretty easy to use. The one thing I found hard is the columns have a limited number of characters you can use, but you can always give more detail when you are created your sheet.

Because it does not have a good integration with Salesforce and Gainsight.
