# Which is better for mobile? Skype or Viber or WhatsApp? or something else?

I use Viber and Skype. I sometimes forget to log into skype, but Viber. I have a feeling that Viber might beat Skype. Are there any other interesting competitor's for this MS kid?

Due to the vast issues that Viber issues encounter from time to time, Viber seems to be used mostly for personal use. Skype is a great contender (if not the main one), mainly because of its tight integration with desktop, mobile and tablet, making it widely accessible, as opposed to its competitors Whatsapp and Viber.

All 3 are good. But best mobile video calling apps are Zoom, Google Meet, Webex, Gomeetnow etc. These work well.

They are all good, but it depends on the use you want to give them. Each application adjusts to the needs of each user.

Honestly, it's sometimes less about which app is "better" and more about which is more widely adopted.  Because of it's Microsoft backing and cross-platform reach (including now the Xbox One) I'd have to suggest Skype.

I say Skype especially now that Microsoft owns it.  It'll be further developed to connect with the rest of the Microsoft products.

I think Skype and Whats up are the best tools to use with your mobile because I've used them for years now and there are no problems.

depending on what you are using it for all 3 provide different things. If you are using it for messaging then i would suggest whatsapp, if its for calls skype is better but then again there are still some people who dont have it and have downloaded viber on their smartphones.

it depends on what you are using it for. If its for messaging I would suggest whatsapp, however if its for calls then skype does trump viber but viber can also be an option if skype isnt available

The best texting application is whatsapp without any doubt. So if it is only texting you need go for whatsapp

If you need  voice calls and text both then viber is a good choice

Skype is good if you want all video/voice chat and texting

Skype does it for me, though TextMe has proven to be quite useful as well as long as I stay in a place with good connectivity.
