I've used both; Snowflake is superior in my view. Redshift certainly offers a lot of power being an AWS product, however Snowflake is more fully-featured. Snowflake has a stronger UI with much more functionality. You can manage databases and schemas and roles far more easily; you can share data in many diverse ways; you can create row access policies, and simply do so many things. By contrast, Redshift's UI inside AWS is a little frustrating and even an impediment in doing all the things you want to do. Make no mistake, Redshift has a lot of computing power behind it and if you're aggregating a lot of AWS sources and will be using it programmatically (e.g. ODBC/JDBC) vs. interactively through the console then maybe Redshift works for you. However, if you want a superior console, much more transparent pricing, the ability to run on a public cloud of your choice, greater sharing capabilities, etc., then Snowflake really leaves Redshift far behind.
