What is the best way to land the job using ZipRecruiter?

I am a 20 year old with work experience but not a high level of education. I completed high school, I want an entry level full-time job as a receptionist for now but all my experience is in the realm of retail and food industry.

I think the best way is to keep applying so you can get different jobs that you are compatible with. Also, keep your resume updated so that way it will show you have been active in your job search.

The best way to land a job using ZipRecruiter is, to actually USE ZipRecruiter like it's meant to be used.

What I would do is take a receptionist job in what you know. Because you have all of of the knowledge in that field why not start there. I look at some high end places. For me it was Fleming’s. The only person that will take of you is you. Don’t be afraid to walk into those places and ask to speak to the manager. Perfect your elevator speech. Just a short snapshot of you. If you have any questions hit me up. Good luck Kenyon.

You can gain great experience by accepting an internship or simply by volunteering and shadowing someone you know who works at what you wish to pursue. Okay? I hope I helped you out.

I have not landed a job yet, but I do get interviews. Keep trying, but try other job boards as well and network in person.

I would change your resume around a little. Try some different ideas. Go on to Linkedin and see if you can get someone to share a resume with you that they got a job with, a good job of course. Just tell them to black out any personal information but see what words they used. I have over 20 different resumes. I make sure I complete the websites applications, not the ones that directly get sent over from there. Like the fast ones, actually fill out an application. Use different words for searching. One thing I have found is to look for jobs that are listed on emails I receive. I signed up with Steady and they have a great resource. But on Ziprecruiter, you have to just make sure your resume on there is GREAT! And I found out that after not reviewing my resume ... just thinking just because I uploaded information they asked, what does it look like, so download it. I found many misspelled words, which will is SOMETHING YOU WILL NEVER GET A JOB WITH! Other things are at the top of your resume, make sure its the first thing you want that company to see. Each job is going to require you to change the resume... its painstaking but its worth it.

Apply for jobs within your field and keep applying for those positions. This is the best way to land a job through ZipRecruiter. Some companies hire employees without much experience. Apply experience from work in the food industry as customer service and related fields.
