Snagit is probably primarily used for easily and quickly capturing, editing, and saving/sharing screenshots, but can be used for creating instructional videos and GIFs, too.

Snagit is screen capture software that allows you to take still or video capture from your computer. You can then add markups such as text and symbols and save or share the results in image or video file formats.

Primarily, Snagit is for capturing images, Pages or Videos from your screen, and these can include scrollable pages/images. I use SnagIit every day, for work, for personal, for Web Page design, Image manipulation, documentation, It's image manipulation and tools is reasonably extensive in that almost all my image manipulation for my websites is done with SnagIT. On the personal side, its capture is so simple, that I use it for record keepng, every receipt I get on the screen, every payment I make, every overseas order I make, I capture it, even if they say they will send a receipt (and how many times does this not happen). I have used it on a number of occasions to prove seller fault in their supply or at least what they are claiming to supply. I now cannot do without it.
