If by g2 software you mean g2.com, it is a place to find real reviews and ratings for various business software solutions encompassing everything from ecommerce, to inventory management, to customer engagement and satisfaction. G2is somewhere that I trust to have opinions of real world users to shop for solutions to common business problems before actually going through the time consuming process of vendor led demo's or trial periods. It greatly reduces the effort needed to separate the quality solutions from those that may be lacking functions that your business might need.
