What is Dreamweaver software used for?

In our work, we have used dreamweaver to help us see what an email will look like to the recipient. I've also used it to swap out small bits of code that helped a co-vendor use our email in their email deployment system. I save out my files from dreamweaver through TextEdit as html files and share them with other vendors who want to use our email content.
