Aurora Software is used by the front end, planning, and back end processes for Residential and Commercial Solar Projects. Aurora accelerates every department's productivity with it's intuitive design, functional power, and the blend of satellite imaging and LIDAR. You are able to accurately project a solar install's productivity which gives the sales team a powerful tool for proposals. You can see which roof planes will produce the most as well as input shading obstructions to see where productivity problem areas are. Using the intuitive 3D modeling, me as a plan designer, can tell the pitch of the roof, the height of the roof, the azimuth of each individual roof plane, the roof area, objects surrounding that may shade an area on the roof, and also extremely accurate dimensions that can compensate for areas that are hard to measure in the field. This helps with the install process as well because the panels will be placed in the most optimum position on the roof. There is no question in my mind that Aurora Software is the future of solar, from planning phase to producing.
