It's a knowledge base where we put all the data together of a product in a clear and consice manner for the ease of understanding. It helps a lot in organization for understanding of product which is documented in the form confluence pages.

Confluence is similar to SharePoint in the document aspect, but has a folder tree and breadcrumb trail thats easier to navigate and allows for more commentary and a place to keep policies updated better.

It's a helpful tool for documentation, summaries, and collaboration. Information is organized and surfaced in a comprehensive (but not overwhelming) format. Solid integration with Jira.
