JAMS provide an centralized environment to schedule business jobs like (extract, load, sending files) irrespective of the Server or platform of the job. We can also monitor jobs across the server across the organization from JAMS.

### Comment 2

Enterprise scheduling is the concept of using a centralized job scheduling platform to coordinate the execution of tasks across multiple systems within a company's set of systems. Enterprise job schedulers should be able to run anything anywhere, and chain job sequences together which span environments.

For example, at 8am every Monday the job scheduler runs a file export out of system A, loads the file into system B, runs an SFTP upload, emails notification, and then archives the file. If there's an error during the load to system B, then the job sequence can stop so that manual intervention can be performed before the rest of the jobs run.
