Hi Sherly, Thanks for using Kahoot! I work in the marketing team at Kahoot! Starting recently, users are able to play challenges on the web as of earlier this month!
Hi Sherly,
I’m a research analyst in the education market at G2. Thanks for a good question — this is one I was curious about myself. Based on my research, it looks like Kahoot! challenges can be played through compatible mobile devices (iOS and Android) and Chromebooks, if the Chromebooks have the Kahoot! app installed. See the discussion here on Kahoot!’s blog on Chromebook compatibility: https://kahoot.com/blog/2018/11/26/how-to-install-kahoot-app-on-chromebooks/. Thus, if your library has Chromebooks, that could be an option. However, the post doesn’t mention anything about challenges being accessed on web browsers on Windows or macOS computers, so it looks like challenges are not accessible on those devices at the moment. Indeed, this support post from Kahoot! from six days ago seems to confirm that challenges must be played via a mobile app -- “Currently, challenges cannot be played in a web browser.”: (https://support.kahoot.com/hc/en-us/articles/115016109668).
Hope that helps!
Best,
Shaun Bishop
