THERE IS NO FREE VERSION OF SNAGIT. not less its been pirated hopefully safeguards are in place to prevent this,you can download a free trial version to test drive it . I have not seen a program that compares to the Snagit I have tried other software and nothing compares to Snagit its library of tools to capture and edit,create backgrounds green screen etc great software that gets better all the time

I dont know, but if you have Windows 11 you might have an app that will do the "snagging" part. It is called "snipping tool", but snipping is all it does, I think, so you are still on your own to edit or clean up the image.
