Users first sign into Hitachi ID Privileged Access Manager, then search for and select the account and system to which they wish to connect, then request access. This request may be pre-authorized or may require approval by other business stake-holders (i.e., via workflow). Once a request is approved, users check-out the account and launch an access disclosure mechanism, which may automatically sign them into a login session with the managed credential, or run a program on their PC with the credential, or display the password, or run commands on the user’s behalf on the managed system in the security context of the managed credential.
