How does Xref collect references?

What is the process that employers take when using Xref to conduct a reference check and what does the experience look like for candidates and their references?

The process of conducting a reference check with Xref starts when the employer submits a request by providing the candidate’s information - this takes just 30 seconds to complete, and the candidate is then in the driving seat. The candidate submits the contact details for their references, who immediately receive an email requesting that they provide feedback via the Xref platform. Throughout the process, the employer is able to track the reference within their Xref account, and both the employer and candidate are kept up to speed with progress updates sent directly from Xref. If a reference fails to provide their feedback, they will be sent regular reminders to encourage them to complete the process in a timely manner. Upon completion of a reference, the employer receives a report including verbatim feedback and a full analysis of the reference content, including sentiment, word count and core competency ratings. These reports are returned within, on average, 24hrs. I hope that answers your question! If there’s anything else you’re unclear about, feel free to reach out to our support team at support@xref.com.
