How do we import notes from our previous history of customer data into gainsites newsfeed

we have data in notes fields in our previous contact systems and need to import the historical data into gainsite

You can create a custom field on the Company object and write a rule to update that value. If you make this an editable rich text field, you can then make account level notes accessible to all.

You could export those comments along with a customerID to a CSV file, post to S3 and ingest into Gainsight that way. Depending on where you want it displayed it could be mapped to an existing field or a custom field created on the Company Object. To get in the newsfeed, you may consider creating CTA's based on this information as well
