Teresa, if I understand you correctly, this is a super interesting/alarming thing to be happening. At my school, they would have to have their Fujitsu tablet identified as someone else's tablet for this to occur. They would be in so much trouble if they managed to change these settings on their personal laptop, so as to seem to be another student. We have an outstanding tech team at our school that would be able to look into this way more deeply than I ever could as the teacher. If you have access to this level of tech support, please go to them with your suspicions and see what they can do.
Meanwhile, I would be so tempted to put my class in segmented blocking, with the alternative plan being a very restrictive "test day" one. When you see that imposter student (who seems to be named as your own student) in a test in the other class, put him/her on the test day blocking plan and see what happens. I love to be creative like this to try and stay one step ahead of the kids. It's sad that we have to do that, but it's essential. Also, can you identify what other class the student is in? Maybe try to talk to that teacher as well. I would want a heads up if it were my own student! Good luck!
I am looking for a way to find a student who is logged in as my student while sitting in another room. The other room student is cheating on a test while my student might be logged in as other room student and appears to be working when I am looking at him. I know how to see who never logged in and take from another teacher. This is another situation and is how kids are cheating. It's the location of the device and where a student is logged in.
Your Dyknow class page will show you the names of the students who are not logged in so you can address that issue with them individually. You will also see thumbnails of all the students' computer screens to keep an eye on them.
