No, you don't have to be an ambassador to promote HackerEarth, although being one could get you additional support and recognition. For freshers, who are still exploring the realms of programming and development, HackerEarth is like the first step to everything from Hello World to objects and classes. It has been structured in a way so as to make it beginner friendly. A 7-step way to get started with programming: https://www.hackerearth.com/practice-onboarding/, Codemonk that provides topicwise approaches to Data Structures and Algorithms topics, are the way to go for students to get started. If development is what you are looking for, HackerEarth hosts a number of hackathons on its platform, as well as provide structured tutorials on topics like Machine Learning. The developers blog (https://www.hackerearth.com/blog/developers/) is a way to interface with current industry standards in development. Codemonk includes detailed tutorials with supporting code snippets on a topic, and an exhaustive variety of questions of increasing difficulty on those. So, you could go from being a noob, to an expert just by working away at HackerEarth.
