Can ExamSoft detect cheating?

Yes, I believe it can be an aid to detect cheating. I had 2 students that had multiple wrong math-type answers and I felt it unusual that 2 students would get the same wrong answer on 4 questions. We could look at the ExamSoft tracking information and I could determine that the students had been on the same question at the same time throughout the test. Unfortunately I did not find this until several weeks after grades were filed, but I was able to address these students directly about the issue.
