Does ContentKing ping my website?

How does content king know when I've deployed new code? Do they rely on a call/API to know a page has been updated?

No.. they are constantly crawling your site, and detect changes in the DOM/source .. They crawl pages in a queue based on your internal linking structure and what you have indicated are most important .. e.g you link to you homepage from everypage, so the homepage gets crawled more often.. Similar fashion to Google's approach.

Hi Brian, thanks for your question! ContentKing simulates search engines, which means that it monitors websites by continuously crawling them. Thanks to the 24/7 monitoring you always have real-time data about your website at your disposal, but you can also track changes between the individual crawls. We use smart algorithms that take a vast array of signals into account to determine when to crawl a specific page. However, you can also use our CMS API to ping us whenever you update a page and ContentKing will crawl that page immediately. You can read more about the CMS API here: https://www.contentkingapp.com/support/cms-api/ If you want to try ContentKing for yourself to see what it can do for your website, you can start a free trial which allows you to use ContentKing for 14 days completely free of charge. In case of any other questions don't hesitate to reach out to us! Vojtěch, ContentKing
