Do you think Microsoft will extend support for Windows 7 after January 14, 2020?

I would like to know your opinion as to whether or not you really believe that microsoft can extend its support for windows 7 for a period longer than stipulated.

I believe they can, but i doubt they will. On the business side, why will they continue to maintain crew for a product that has gone obsolete. It would be better for them to allocate more technical teams to their new operating systems as these will be the products their clients would be asking for more support.

Hey, good question! It's difficult to say where Microsoft will draw a hard line on when they stop supporting Windows 7. Per their product lifecycle page (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/search/14019), Microsoft has not prescribed either mainstream or extended support end dates across almost all Windows 7 listings, with exception to Service Pack 1. We may potentially see some extended support for pre-Windows 10 product lines as technology and privacy laws evolve, but otherwise, it's fairly likely that they do not continue general support for Windows 7 and focus more on 10 beyond 14 Jan 2020. Hope this helps!
