Hi Himanshu, What I generally do for this kind of error is to check with coordinate systems of both TAB & SHP files. When we're using ArcGIS or QGIS, the SHP layer will be set to standard coordinates which is EPSG:27700 - British National Grid. However the TAB file will have a default coordinate system given by QGIS which reads as user defined coordinate. So to fix this, please go to properties of TAB (right click on layer added), then in source please select "EPSG:27700 - OSGB 1936 / British National Grid". the you can both the layers overlapping over each other. I used to find this error when I am using a raster file (background / OS map) as well. Trick is same for this as well. Hope this helps you.
