Can it be used personally?

I wanted to know if it can be used to communicate with my friends and relatives who are far away

Yes, JoinMe supports both audio and document sharing globally. I have used it for communications in Europe, Asia, South America, Australia, and the Middle East. The service has both local phone numbers and integrated VOIP. At this point, VOIP is probably the primary access unless somebody is dialing in via their mobile. Please note that you cannot call people directly. You have to agree to a time to meet on your Join.Me URL and phone number.
