Hey G2 community, I’m curious. What do you think are the best cloud-based API development solutions available today? I’m putting together a list based on first-hand experience. If you’ve used any of these (or have others you’d recommend) drop your thoughts below. I’d especially love input from anyone using Postman, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, or WSO2 API Manager for enterprise-scale integrations.
Postman: Postman is one of the most widely used cloud-based platforms for API design, testing, and monitoring. It offers collaborative workspaces, automated testing, and integrations with CI/CD pipelines. Developers highlight its ease of use and ability to centralize API projects across distributed teams.
MuleSoft Anypoint Platform: MuleSoft provides a comprehensive suite for API design, integration, and management. Built for enterprises, it connects cloud and on-prem systems through reusable APIs, making it easier to scale digital ecosystems. Its cloud-based management features allow teams to monitor, secure, and analyze APIs globally.
WSO2 API Manager: WSO2 is an open-source API management platform that supports full lifecycle API development in the cloud. It enables publishing, governance, and analytics, with strong hybrid deployment support. Users often choose it for its flexibility and cost-effectiveness in enterprise environments.
SwaggerHub: SwaggerHub is built on the OpenAPI framework and provides a collaborative, cloud-based platform for designing and documenting APIs. It ensures consistency across large teams and integrates with source control and CI/CD workflows.
Kong Konnect: Kong offers a cloud-native API gateway and service connectivity platform. With features like traffic control, security, and monitoring, it’s designed for modern microservices architectures. Enterprises use it to manage high-performance APIs across multiple environments.
