Is there a way to make the tool not count you (the owner) as a visitor?

I visit my website very many times just to make sure that everything is fine hence it gives a false impression of traffic whereas only one visitor has ever viewed my website.

Yes! Go to Settings-> General-> Ignore your own visits. From there you will have the option to ignore visits form a specific browser or a specific IP.
