# How it compares with other tools like Datadog or New Relic?

Other APM solutions are really robust and with a lot of features but they appeal to many languages and frameworks, how does Scout compare to that kind of tools from the scope of a Ruby on Rails application?

Scout is built in Ruby on Rails and provides better visualizations of performance abnormalities in Ruby applications than New Relic or DataDog. Customers who switch from New Relic or Datadog get better detailed insights (such as n+1 queries, memory profiling, background jobs, etc) and save at least 30% on average. Customers also tell us we provide more responsive and attentive customer support than the other dog.
