# How do I ensure that we are registered for electronic submissions and electronic remittance?

I'm wondering what the steps are to ask about receiving electronic remittance. I feel I have done this before and when you do the search it tells you if enrollment is required. Does that mean enrollment with the insurance company, with Waystar, or with both? And then what steps can be taken within Waystar to ensure we are set up?

Thanks so much!

Hi Jessica,

Every payer that offers ERA will require enrollment. The requirements of what is needed for enrollment do vary by payer though. If the customer logs into Waystar they can view the payer list to see which payers offer ERA. They can then go into their request enrollment tool and request enrollment for that payer. They will receive information at that point as to whether further action is required or if the enrollment can be handled by Waystar and no further action is needed. This will also provide them with info. regarding the payer’s turnaround time (TAT) and when to expect an approval once the agreement has been submitted to the payer.
