# Why can’t we have interaction timeline edits in sketch?

Like most other design software do why can’t sketch have option to edit the interaction while creating the prototype.

Sketch is primarily a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool, and as such, it is focused on helping designers create static graphics and designs. For example, you can use the "Link" feature to create links between different artboards or pages in your design, which can allow you to create simple prototypes that allow users to navigate between different screens or pages. You can also use the "Hotspot" feature to create clickable areas within your designs that can trigger actions or transitions when clicked.

However, these features are relatively basic and do not provide the same level of control and flexibility as dedicated interactive design tools. If you need to create more complex interactive designs with detailed timeline animations and transitions, you may want to consider using a different tool that is specifically designed for that purpose.
