We are looking to use Talent LMS for our 3 online learning courses. We plan to use the group and branch features to enable us to setup access the way we want it. I wanted to ask what peoples experiences of using TalentLMS were and what support came from Talent LMS in terms of success manager and email support. Have you had a good feedback from your learners? Did they find navigation easy etc? Based on your experience woud you recommend and are there any lessons your learnt that can be passed on to others embarking on this journey??

Hi Daniela
Yes it is very, very good software and learners find it extremely easy to use, PROVIDED that you set it up right. What I mean by that is, create an engaging homepage with a Help and Support link, make the branding and interface look great, and remove any unused functionality to minimise clutter. For instance, if you are not using Calendar or Discussions functionality, hide these from your users so that they have a clean, intuitive interface. You can also customise the buttons and of course, designing the flow of your content is key - all things which we can assist you with if you need a hand - we'll be happy to set up an instance of TalentLMS at no obligation or cost so you can see if this meets your needs - https://www.adapt2learning.com.au/
Configuring it to get it just right and to produce a really polished outcome will take you a lot of time and effort so if you have budget my recommendation is to get an expert to do this, and devote your time and energy on learning about course design using the tool, as this is the area you'll need to be expert on long term, whereas the set-up is a one-off.
In terms of support, the team is great, but you are at the mercy of their backlog of tickets, which can means some days before you hear anything, which is not great when you have something you urgently need fixed!
Keen to hear how you go. Good luck!

I looked very carefully at a lot of LMS firms. I found that Talent fitted my needs. I wanted to create online aysnchronous courses as well as host webinars and provide more personal feedback for my students As a small business owner, I could not afford, nor did I want a huge LMS to start with. Talent LMS allowed me to start small and my subscription will grow with my business. It's easy to set up the navigation for students to be able to do well. I work with teens so love the gamification ability that the LMS provides. It's also easy to train my fellow instructors in setting up the courses. And the support is phenomenal. I had several questions while deciding. After all, it's a major decision. But the staff were patient, responded to my questions and met with me via zoom to sort out any final questions I had. Well worth the money spent as far as I'm concerned.
Hi Daniela
I use TalentLMS and am very happy with the functionality of the software. The learners that we have (who are not all tech minded) find it easy and intuitive. We do not use the branch aspect yet but the groups make it easy for reporting. We set up an 'all user' group which is the default group then also have lower hierarchy groups.
As a business that has less than 100 users (currently 86) we do not have a success manager but the email support is quick and helpful, I have used them for adding code to the theme to allow me to match the category headings with our company colours.
For me the biggest strength is the ability to create and monitor pathways for learners.
When comparing TalentLMS to other software I think the cost and functionality of this software is very good.
Hope this helps
Pete
