If you mean, can the Checkpoint platform be upgraded from R80.20 to R80.40? Then yes. Me specifically in my environment though, I run R80.10 through R80.40. I've run Checkpoints since the R76 days, and currently run versions right up to R80.40. Upgrade paths are very simple, they give you a lot of choices in how you want to upgrade. You can do so just applying the latest, you can do a full reimage, you can do what they call a blink install which is like a reimage, but done directly on the box. Very flexible, and very convenient.
