# Is there any capability that Dynatrace can't provide which is offered by Splunk?

We are currently using Splunk for log monitoring. We are wondering shall we continue both Dynatrace and Splunk for log monitoring or we can only rely on Dynatrace.

Hello -

Dynatrace can pull the same log files.  We use both and Splunk is used to pull all logs and store them for a year.  We have been using Dynatrace Managed for about 2 years or so but have found Dynatrace can do so much more than Splunk.

Hi Mostofa. Hard for me to answer about Splunk's capabilities vs ours. I'd recommend trying it and seeing for yourself.  They are different use cases.
