I’d like to get started with quickbooks for a small business I’ve started on the side and I’m not sure where to start. Before I start doing anything with quickbooks, I’d like to know if I can put quickbooks on a mac. The worst thing would be to spent my initial investment of my business on a new laptop.
Thanks!

It probably would be fine if you are just starting up a new business on a Mac. Being a Mac fan, after reading the many many reviews, I would not import a Windows version of your books on a Mac version of QB. It is difficult, support is crap, and all your notes regarding checks written or deposits will not transfer. Also heard many people experienced loss of data and spent hours on the phone with Intuit. Do yourself a favor, if you have a company file that is years of operation, buy yourself at least a 2.4Mtz computer and buy the 2019 version of QB, not the 2020. Intuit is a money grubbing company and with the 2019 version, you own the software, you will be supported with updates for years to come. On the 2020 version, the first year is free and then you have to pay Intuit every year thereafter for your use. This is not readily indicated in their advertisements. A classic case where the small print is much larger than the large print. I did just what I recommended and bought a Lenovo 2.4Mgz laptop and I was impressed with the 2019 product and it's performance and my old company file from 2013 version updated perfectly.
